Ravens

So much has been written about these birds. I wonder if there's a witch without a raven... And depicted too, inspired by stories, poems and real life. I draw mine every year because I see them as my winter  companions. They know how to live around humans, and now that trees are leafless and everything is barren we kind of spot each other easily and walk the same streets. They are a beautiful in their own way.

Autumn mood

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. The crisp air is energizing and falling leafs in all colors and shapes have always fascinated me. Every time a draw and carve leafs I assume that it's the last time, but yet again I feel the need to capture these fragile objects.

Coming across the random

Creating a print involves a lot of experimentation. Not everything turns out as predicted, but sometimes interesting and captivating forms turn up, which were not anticipated.  Creating the circumstances for the unpredictable and the random is part of the printing process.
